When I first saw the article titled “Edmond Climber Leaps into Yoga Plan” I didn’t know what to think!  The first thing that came to mind was it must be yet another yoga phenomenon – this time combining yoga and climbing.  I quickly racked my brain to think of what that scenario might look like – Uh, did it have to do with doing holding poses while tethered to the side of a rock wall?  Perhaps an attempt to do Triangle Pose in midair.  I was at a loss.

Then I read the article (that would help huh?), and it made much more sense to me!  There’s a studio in Oklahoma that recently opened up catering to both climbers and yogis.  How cool is that!  I’ve always wanted to try an indoor rock climbing gym, but in between all the other things I have going on I just don’t have the time (or money) to pick up another side activity.  Freddie Harth has been able to mesh the two together with his concept of a rock climbing gym on one side and a yoga studio on the other.  Now that’s an idea I can go for!  Imagine having one membership to a studio and having the ability to do rock climbing on some days and yoga on others.  Let’s hope we see more concepts like this sprouting up outside of Oklahoma – like say, Oh I don’t know… Southern California for one – *hint hint*.
