ShareYoga is hosting a contest this month that involves writing a yoga-related haiku.  I wasn’t going to do it at first, but then I had a change of heart and figured I might as well try – what have I got to lose?  The winner of the most creative yoga haiku wins a pink Yogitoes towel!  A yogitoes towel is placed over a mat to give added traction and prevent slippage.  It’s worth $55!

Here is my submission:

alive in yoga
much like a bird in mid-flight
brings peace like the breeze.

Another just for fun that I didn’t submit, hahaha:

yoga, doga whee
a sport for all – man or dog
winter cold or summer heat

This was the best I could describe what yoga does for me in a 3 line poem with a specific 5,7,5 pattern.  You’re allowed multiple submissions so maybe I’ll try submitting another one later on.  The deadline is June 17th!  Give it a shot (just don’t beat me!) – just kidding  :)   If you do submit, I’d love for you to share with me what you came up with!
